Head Facilitator - Somesh De Swardt
Somesh, was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. He has also traveled to West Africa including Gambia, Senegal and Guinea. His experiences in Africa have given him an in-depth knowledge of the role that music and community plays in society. Most recently Somesh has traveled to Hawaii where he took part in an advanced facilitator training. He started drumming while in South Africa in 1997 and has since taken his hobby and turned it into a business. He started Drum Jam in Brighton in 2001, by running community drumming events. Since then Drum Jam have grown into the UK's Premier Rhythmic Events Entertainment Company. Somesh has been featured in newspaper articles from the Guardian to The Metro News (readership over 500,000), Television programs on London TV to BBC South Coast. He has had fun drumming with thousands of school children in schools and community groups. He regularly runs African Drumming Workshops throughout the country and has drummed with Corporate Companies including British Airways, Microsoft and Royal Mail.
